The year 2024 is rapidly approaching, and here’s an idea that can really help to solidify you or your company as being the market leader.
When the New Year gets here, everyone wants to know what to expect in the coming year, and you can now be the one to rise up and occupy the position of being the top expert within people’s minds. With this in mind, what I recommend you consider doing here is to host a live in-person event featuring you, a commercial lender, and an economic forecast expert in your area, each giving your take on what’s been going on in the market, and giving everyone your predictions for 2024, too.
In addition, you could do this on a Zoom meeting instead, and then record it.
So together you would then discuss the trends that you are observing within your market, your local economy, and within lending, as well as give everyone your thoughts and forecasts for 2024.
Then you can announce this upcoming event in emails to your clients and prospects, and post this on social media, too, mentioning the names and the credentials of your distinguished guests, and then include the links for people to signup to attend. In addition, if your interview guests have substantial email lists, and/or good social media presence, have them post these same links also, and this will now get all three of you even greater publicity.
In addition, if you record the event as a Zoom meeting, you can then send the link to watch the recording out to everyone, so that the people who couldn’t attend live can still see it.
This will now help to have you emerge even more as being the market leader within your territory, because who, but the market leader, would be presenting top experts like this, and bringing an important event like this one to the community?
There will be many commercial real estate brokers who will read these words, and many who will also believe that this would be a good idea, but how many commercial real estate agents will truly move forward and execute on this?
In addition, if things go well for both you and your guests during the event, you could consider doing a mid-year economic, real estate, and lending market forecast together again in July, and then consider doing these forecasts once every six months together.
This would then REALLY help to position you on an ongoing basis with your commercial real estate clients and prospects, as being the one broker who’s now taken the lead on providing them with this important information.
In addition to this, when you’re doing your prospecting, you can now invite your prospects to attend this live event, and you can give them the recording of it afterwards once it’s available.
In keeping this in mind, there’s a young broker who I’m working with right now, who has the intention of hosting an event like this one for his local apartment owner association. The association has had its challenges with getting good attendance for many of their events, and I know that a January event titled, “2024 Multifamily Market Forecast”, will pack the house.
Because whenever January rolls around, people want to hear the experts telling everyone their forecasts.
So could this be a good idea for you? In addition, another good target audience to do this for would be your local Chamber of Commerce, as these are business people looking to network and improve their own business results, and they might love to hear both you and your experts make your predictions. And…the Chamber of Commerce could be thrilled at all three of you inviting your own guests to the event, because the Chamber is always looking to attract new members!
This is a great way to now announce yourself with certainty to your marketplace, and plant your flag firmly, as being the top expert and market leader within your territory.
