You probably already know that Phil Mickelson is one of the finest professional golfers to ever play the game. With him having won 45 golf tournaments here in the U.S. on the PGA Tour, including having won six major championships, he is certainly in an elite, rarefied class within the professional golfing world.
Keeping this in mind, I discovered this 2-3 minute video of Phil discussing the many things that he considers and evaluates before ever hitting a golf shot, and I found his detail to be quite stunning…and you can even see David Feherty, the interviewer, who was a professional golfer himself, begin to smile when hearing Phil discuss his very detailed approach.
This then had me thinking about those unique, very rare brokers and agents within our industry, who calculate in detail the metrics of how many calls they need to make to get an appointment with an owner, how many appointments they need to get a listing, what percentage of their listings sell, and what the average commission is that they earn per listing sold.
But for so many other brokers, just understanding how many dollars each prospecting call that you make is worth to you, so that whenever you miss getting your calls done during a given week, you have a much deeper understanding of how much money you’ve just cost yourself…
This in itself could serve as a great, motivating kick in the butt for you!
So take a look at this short video of golfer Phil Mickelson, and note the precision and the detail with which he approaches every single golf shot.
